2.4.0 (17 May 2019)

  • [+] Auto-Update (Core & Extensions) - Joomla! Toolkit updates all selected instances automatically once a core or extension update has been made available. In the case of the core, you can allow for updating bugfix releases only or also feature releases. Don't worry; backups are created automatically before each update process!
  • [+] Scheduled Backups - Backups are created automatically using a cronjob. The process can be limited to a specific time and day using the corresponding options in the settings. You may define the amount of stored backup archives directly in the Service Plan settings.
  • [+] Install & Uninstall Extensions - You may install and uninstall extensions in the Extensions tab by uploading the installation packages.
  • [+] Improved list view - All important data is displayed in a compact, easy to navigate list.
  • [+] Added new bulk button "Update Core & Extensions" - With this option, everything is updated with just one click.
  • [+] Additional languages - You can select and install official languages directly in the installation form for new Joomla! instances.
  • [+] New option "Create a backup before updates" - With this option, you may disable the automatic update backups if you are using another way to create backups (e.g. scheduled backups) or run into server limits.
  • [+] Exceptions thrown by the console script are logged with the detailed error message in the panel.log.
  • [*] Only active instances are displayed by default in the main view.
  • [*] Optimized cleanup - Backup files are removed properly if the extension is uninstalled completely.
  • [-] Fixed an annoying issue that switched the view to the first tab once a certain Ajax request has been finished. Now the tab selection is not changed, and you may proceed to work independently of the loading progress.

2.3.0 (12 March 2019)

  • [+] Bulk Backup Operation - Backup all selected instances continuously just with one click.
  • [+] Backup Indicator - See the status of the backups for all instances instantly without having to go through each entry separately. Green means backup exists and is not outdated; orange means a backup exists but is outdated; red means no backup file available.
  • [+] Health Check - Get the availability status for all mapped instances dynamically (HTTP Status Code 200).
  • [+] Online Users - Get the users status dynamically with the distinction between members (logged in users) and guests.
  • [+] Clear Joomla! Cache - Clear all Joomla!-specific caches directly from the Joomla! Toolkit. Additionally, the cache is cleared automatically after all updated processes.

  • [+] State filter (newUI) - You may now limit the list to one of the following instance state: Active, Broken and Deprecated. In the default filter, active and broken instances are loaded. With this feature finally deprecated instances can be displayed and re-attached to the active list.
  • [+] View switcher (newUI) - Added the possibility to change the card view in the tiles and list view. This allows a quick overview of all instances.
  • [+] Attach and Detach functions (newUI) - Added the possibility to re-attach already detached instances. The attach process needs some time since the complete instance must be refreshed before it can be set to the active state.
  • [+] Remove Instance - This action allows to remove an instance completely, this means not only the instance from the Joomla! Toolkit but also the files, the (internal) database and possible backup files.
