Ruby ist eine beliebte Programmiersprache bei Webentwicklern. In Plesk Onyx wird Ruby im Rahmen einer Erweiterung unterstützt.

Mit der Ruby-Erweiterung in Plesk Onyx können Benutzer Ruby-Apps schnell und unkompliziert auf ihren Domains bereitstellen. Sowohl Ruby on Rails als auch Sinatra-Frameworks werden unterstützt. Funktionen der Erweiterung:

• Unterstützung von Ruby auf beliebigen virtuellen Hosts aktivieren
• Ruby-Version für eine Domain auswählen. Für Aufrufe über die Benutzeroberfläche oder die Befehlszeilenschnittstelle wird das Dienstprogramm rbenv eingesetzt, um die maximale Übereinstimmung zu erreichen
• Gem-Datei-Abhängigkeiten über Benutzeroberfläche mithilfe des Bundler-Tools installieren
• Benutzerdefinierte Umgebungsvariablen angeben
• Konfigurationsdateien bearbeiten

Es wird dringend empfohlen, die für das Erstellen von Ruby-Gems erforderlichen Tools zu installieren, damit die Ruby-Gem-Installation reibungslos und ohne Verzögerungen abgeschlossen werden kann. Dank dieser Komponente können Sie sich entspannt zurücklehnen und müssen sich nicht mehr den Kopf über Gem-Abhängigkeiten zerbrechen. Die Gem-Dateiinstallation war noch nie so einfach. Die meisten Abhängigkeiten werden nämlich automatisch über die Tools gelöst.
