Netmaker
Netmaker is a powerful open-source platform for the automated creation, management, and security of WireGuard-based overlay networks. The application enables centralized control of virtual private networks (VPNs) and offers both a user-friendly web interface and an API for dynamically connecting servers, cloud instances, and locations.
With Netmaker, flexible mesh and hub-and-spoke network topologies can be effortlessly set up across multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments. The connected nodes automatically reconfigure themselves as soon as changes are made to the network. Additionally, kernel-level features such as ingress and egress gateways are available to selectively route traffic into or out of the virtual network.
The modern architecture is suitable for both day-to-day network administration and full automation in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows. By combining the high performance of the WireGuard protocol with centralized control, the Community Edition of Netmaker offers a streamlined open-source solution for securely networking modern IT infrastructures.
